The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) established a program to foster the creation of more pedestrian parklets and plazas and expedite the permiting process requirement associated with these projects. As a brand-new program of the City of Los Angeles, a new brand identiy including the name was created. Working in a team, a series of signage, map-styles, iconography, environment graphics, colors and patterns, and architectural prototypical models were developed for LADOT. And several documents detailing these as well as communicating the program and the application process to the public were designed.
